CANKLE!!

Just got back from my first round of physical therapy for my ankle. So one of the exercises they had me do was lay down on the floor with my foot elevated and an ice pack on my ankle - no joke! I was laying there for probably 10 minutes. Just laying there. Doing nothing. Except icing my ankle. Oh, but first the therapist massaged my ankle and rotated it a few times.

They gave me a pillow and told me to relax.

The ceiling had a colorful mural painted on it.

I think I'm going to like PT.

Until I get the bill.

Joe mentioned a couple of days ago that if he only knew me by the size of my foot, he would have assumed I weighed around 350-400 pounds. Then my cankle cried and ate six pints of Ben and Jerry's Super Fudge Chunk ice cream before going on a cabbage soup diet. Now it's probably in the 200-250 pound range.

p.s. I can't wait for you guys to meet my cankle.

Update about Adam

Aloha! I hope you're all doing well in the cold weather. I've been watching on the news how you're all getting dumped on with snow. It will definitely be a white Christmas for all of you! By parents said that it's been cold in San Diego, in the 50's. That probably sounds really warm to all of you right now. :)
I just want to let you know what's going on with Adam. Adam has called a few times this week. He has a cold right now, but other than that he said everything's fine. They're going into Iraq around the in about eight or nine days. He's very anxious to get in there. I'll keep you posted as I hear new things going on with Adam. Take care! Aloha!!!

Adam

Aloha! I hope you're all doing well! I'm doing ok. Adam left Thursday night, actually early Friday morning (1:00 AM). I really thought that I was as ready as I could be for him to leave but I really wasn't ready at all. I didn't want to let go of him when we were saying our goodbyes. I felt bad that I was crying so much in front of him because I really wanted to be a strong wife. Noah let me know he was aware of how upset I was by playing imaginary soccer in my stomach until I fell asleep. I upset Noah so much that by the next morning while eating breakfast I had to sprint to the bathroom to get sick. Getting sick was an eye opener to keep myself more calm for Noah and to stay positive for Adam. Adam called this morning. I got to talk to him for about 5 minutes. They're going to train and workout for the next couple days. He sounded real good. He wont be able to get any packages until after January 1st. His address is:

SSG Lisius Adam
2-25 SBCT
Aco 1-14IN BN #6260
APO AE 09378

Take care! :)

Hey look guys, I'm just like Anna - wearing the glasses and all

I know what you're all thinking: "look at the set on that chick!" But after initial admiration wears off, you whisper between yourselves "I wonder if they're real. That pair can't be real, there's no way. What a cheap whore - displaying those fake things just to get noticed".

Not to overshadow mom's deer story, but....

the damn dogs at my loaf of perfectly moist, delicious zucchini bread...right off the counter.

Rember the standard saying when driving to and from town? "look out for deer" well, i was looking out and bam. Yup, hit one. i had just slowed down for a car in front of me that had turned and was beginning to pick up speed. (was also ringing up Jen on the phone, but paying very close attention to the road, if i hadn't, it could have been worse) anyhow, just as she answered, out they came. first one, slowed, braked, thought, okay where is the other? oh sh...t, there it was, right behind the first. no avoiding this one. braked more, downshifted, bam. (no swerving) hit it broadside and flipped it over a couple times. being the compassionate animal lover that i am, i didn't stop. car seemed okay, lights still working, no steam, no flat, etc. got home and looked for damage. nothing. VW makes a great little car! too much excitement for me.
